Last Harvest is a film about human displacement that puts a human face to this colossal project of the Three Gorges Dam. The film follows the remarkable journey of Mr. and Mrs. Xu, an elderly Chinese farming couple forced to relocate in its wake. Lyrical and intimate, the film brings us close to

this the lived experience of this couple as they are forced to pick up and try to make a new home late in life. This is the story of the collision between traditional culture and modernization, through which we see the imminent extinction of Old China as New China emerges.
